One of the fastest and most popular ways to get from Phuket to Phi Phi Island is by speedboat. Several tour operators offer half-day or full-day speedboat trips from Phuket to Phi Phi Island, which include stops at various scenic spots around the island. The journey takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the weather and sea conditions.

Pros:

  • Faster travel time: Taking a speedboat from Phuket to Phi Phi Island can significantly reduce travel time compared to a ferry. The journey can take as little as 45 minutes by speedboat, while a ferry can take up to 2 hours.

  • Scenic journey: The speedboat ride from Phuket to Phi Phi Island can be a thrilling and scenic experience. You can enjoy stunning views of the Andaman Sea and the surrounding islands.

Cons:

  • More expensive: Speedboats are generally more expensive than ferries, so if you are on a tight budget, this might not be the best option for you.

This is certainly a Thailand staple and the most picturesque way to travel from Phuket to Phi Phi Island. If you prefer a more private and personalized experience, you can hire a longtail boat to take you from Phuket to Phi Phi Island. This option may be more expensive than the ferry or speedboat, but it allows you to customize your itinerary and explore the island at your own pace.

  1. Personalized experience: With a private long-tail boat, you can have a more personalized experience and customize your itinerary according to your preferences.
