Phuket to Phi Phi Island Sunrise Tour
This is the incredible tour I did when I did a day trip from Phuket to Phi Phi Island.
This was one of my favorite experiences in Thailand. I am not a fan of crowds, especially in touristy spots like Maya Bay. We were the first to get to this incredible destination before the tourists for sunrise and I got some of the most incredible pictures of this popular serene landmark.
Here is the breakdown of the itinerary from this amazing Phuket to Phi Phi Island sunrise tour:
The tour starts early in the morning, usually around 4:00 am, with a pick-up from your hotel in Phuket. You will be driven to the pier to catch the speedboat to Phi Phi Island. I loved when we arrived they had coffee and breakfast for us while we wait.
The speedboat ride takes approximately 1.5-2 hours, depending on sea conditions. The ride is stunning while watching the sun slowly rise over the horizon, it is the perfect way to start your day.
Our first stop was the serene Maya Bay, which is one of the most visited destinations in Thailand. Snap a photo before the tourists arrive, they started coming by boat full shortly after we got there! After that, you will hop back on the boat to explore Loh Samah Bay and Viking Cave.
The tour also includes a snorkeling session in the crystal-clear waters of Phi Phi Island, where you can see an abundance of colorful marine life. We saw so many colorful fish and even baby sharks! This was truly an unforgettable experience.
Breakfast and drinks are provided on the tour, including fresh fruits, pastries, coffee, and tea.
The tour typically ends around midday, when you will be taken back to the pier to catch the speedboat back to Phuket. You will be dropped off at your hotel in the afternoon.

Things to do in Phi Phi Island
Phi Phi Island is a breathtakingly beautiful paradise that boasts crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, and lush greenery. As a travel blogger, I was fortunate enough to visit this magical place and experience some of its unique offerings.
One of my favorite experiences in Phi Phi Island was visiting Maya Bay, which was made famous by the movie “The Beach”. The beach’s stunning scenery and warm waters made it the perfect spot for snorkeling and swimming.
I also had the opportunity to explore the island’s vibrant marine life by going snorkeling and diving. The colorful coral reefs and tropical fish were absolutely mesmerizing and we saw a ton of baby sharks!

What do I need for the Phi Phi Islands?
On your journey through southern Thailand, there are a few necessities you need.
When heading from Phuket to Phi Phi Island, don’t forget to pack sunscreen, although Thailand can be over-cast the sun is still extremely strong. Also, bring a hat or a scarf to cover your head and neck, especially during midday when the sun is at its strongest.
As for clothing, pack light and breathable clothes such as cotton t-shirts, shorts, and dresses. Comfortable shoes or sandals are also a must, especially if you plan to do some hiking or explore the island on foot.
If you plan on spending time in the water, bring a swimsuit and a quick-drying towel. It’s also a good idea to bring water shoes or flip-flops to protect your feet from sharp rocks and corals.
To stay hydrated throughout the day, bring a reusable water bottle and fill it up at the numerous water refill stations around the island.
