For your Costa Rica itinerary 5 days, you will have to decide whether you want to see the Arenal Volcano and more of the inland attractions, or you want to experience the beaches. You will also have to decide if you want to fly into San Jose or Libera. To decide that, you will have to look into the different areas of Costa Rica, you can explore Puntarenas, Ojochal, Tamarindo, Samara, or the Santa Teresa areas. In this Costa Rica itinerary 5 days we will be exploring the popular Puntarenas area including Manuel Antonio and Quepos. This is the best area to explore when visiting Costa Rica for the first time.
Overall, while 5 days is a short amount of time to see everything Costa Rica has to offer, you can still have a great trip by focusing on a few key destinations and activities that interest you.

When to visit Costa Rica

I visited both times I went during rainy season and I didnt mind it, it would come and it would go. The rain didnt last long and it was always warm rain, so it actually felt nice in the summer heat.
